Britney Spears Regrets About Her Memoir

In an Instagram post shared on Sunday night, Pop sensation Britney Spears had a message praising her ex Justin Timberlake’s new song “Selfish”. In the post, she also made an apology saying she was deeply sorry for anyone whom she offended in her latest memoir The Woman In Me. The two artists had a showdown over the weekend music charts lately. It appeared to patch any tension between the two great singers, if there was any. Spears seemed to be sorry in Sunday’s post for some of the incidents that led up to the drama that ended their relationship.

She explained that she wanted to apologize for some of the things she wrote in her book, and she regrets If she offended any of the people she genuinely cared about. She also added that she is in love with Justin Timberlake’s new song “Selfish”. Referring to a video she posted of Timberlake and Jimmy’s performance of “Selfish” on The Tonight Show, she said that the sight of Justin and Jimmy together makes her laugh hard every time.

The announcement of Timberlake’s new “Selfish” single, kindled the memory of Spears’s fans that she had an identically titled song in 2011 in her catalog. It was listed in the Top 40 of the U.S iTunes chart last Thursday. Perhaps, as a coincidence, the release of the first ‘single’ from Timberlake’s upcoming album Everything I Thought It Was, set to launch on March 15, happened on the same day.

Timberlake is booting up for his The Forget Tomorrow Word Tour scheduled for April 29 in Vancouver, Canada. He is expected to appear on Saturday Night Live this past weekend. The Barry Gibb talk show skit showcases a return of Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon on its seventh appearance on SNL.

In her Memoir The Woman In Me released a few months back Spears alleged that she had an abortion at Timberlake’s insistence while they were dating, igniting backlashes from Spears fans. Timberlake, whom she dated from 1999 to 2002, kept mum publicly on the “Lucky” singer’s revelation of the incident that happened during their aloft romance.

Even though Timberlake, 42, was low-profiled amid the book’s publication, Spears was accused of hindering his planned resurrection, which listed an NSync reunion at the MTV VMAs and the release of the movie “Trolls Band Together”. Last month, the ten-time Grammy Award winner was elated when he headlined the splashy opening of Fontainebleau Las Vegas, with his wife Jessica Biel.

Timberlake’s track was seen soaring to the top of the iTunes Top Songs chart after its release on Friday, just one day later to be overtaken by Spears’ 2011 hit, titled Selfish. Even though she had told that she would never return to the music industry earlier this month, she did not take up the fan-fueled tug of war between Timberlake’s newly released Selfish and her song titled the same listed 2011 album.

At the same time, Studio 8H on Saturday staged Timberlake as their musical guest on SNL, joining Dakota Johnson, his co-star in The Social Network. As per the Times recap, he was not spotted anchoring the episode officially even though he was fiddling with the role of the host to steal the spotlight repeatedly during the event. He also stated that the new album-for which he has penned 100 songs-is his ‘best work’ and will render listers a real stance on him.

He further added that he felt like he was able, in some of the songs, to look back at the past and had a real, not a refracted perspective of what it was like because they said there was just everybody’s perspective of what had happened, but to really look at it and be able to metabolize and verbalize his perspective on it. He concluded saying he didn’t think that he has ever really done that before.
