After the stunning appearance at the Balmain and Off-White fashion houses, the tennis legend Serena Williams outshines at the Balenciaga Womenswear Fall/Winter 2024-2025 show. Serena was spotted in an elegant black body-hugging dress with her long-time friend Kim Kardashian, who also chose to shine in black. It is not the first time Serena has been spotted at a fashion event. She is also considered a fashion icon who appeared at several events in and out of the United States.
Stunning Black Dress
Serena dazzled in a black dress and blue jacket at the Balenciaga Womenswear Fall/Winter 2024-2025. She wore a black tube dress paired with a bright blue overcoat. The long furry overcoat added volume to the strapless dress. She paired the dress with an extravagant diamond necklace and a pair of matching earrings. A black shade was added along with the outfit. Her blonde curly hair was in an updo with a middle partition.
The star has posted several pictures from the event on her Instagram account. While the first post consisted of only her pictures, the second post included pictures of Kim Kardashian and Vogue magazine’s Editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. Serena was seen posing for the pictures in a hallway along with a large mirror.
Kim Kardashian who was spotted with Serena, also chose to stun in black. She was wearing a black-net dress. One remarkable aspect of Kardashian’s outfit was the tag that hung down from her black translucent dress. This part confused onlookers for a while until it was shown to be a purposeful design element created by Demna Gvasalia, the creative director of Balenciaga.
Serena Outshined At The Balmain and Off-White Fashion Houses
Serena stepped out for the Balmain and Off-White fashion houses which was conducted as part of Paris Fashion Week. Celebrities spotted along with her included actors Lisa Rinna and Ashley Park, music artists Halle Bailey, Cher, and Willow Smith, and supermodels Alessandra Ambrosio and Ashley Graham.
Serena chose to outshine in black outfits for both events. For the Balmain, she styled a black mid-length dress with a giant white rose in the front part of the dress. Serena paired the outfit with an Audemars Piguet watch, a long black trench coat, and black glittery sandals. She chose heavy glossy makeup with red blush on the cheeks, bold eyes, and nude glossy lips. Her blond locks were parted in the middle and flowed down her shoulders.
Serena opted for a shorter black dress, with cutouts on its long sleeves for the Off-White. A black-and-white varsity letterman’s jacket was paired along with the dress. She styled the outfit with black shades and a silver chain with a pendant.
With the hashtag #VirgilForever, Serena shared pictures from the latter performance in remembrance of Off-White’s late founder and Williams’ close friend Virgil Abloh, who passed away in 2021 following a fight with cancer.
Williams was regularly dressed by Abloh both on and off the court. Most notably, the two worked together to create Williams’ match wear for the 2018 US Open and the 2019 French Open. For the 2019 Met Gala, he also created a pair of personalized Nike Air Force 1.
Along with her appearance with the celebrity-studded crowd surrounding the runway, Williams also appeared in a “Get ready with me” video for Vogue France and on The People Gallery, a fashion-focused TIkTok account with over a million followers, which is managed by stylist Maurice Kamara, located in Brooklyn.
Serena who joked with Kamara that the jacket was gifted by her ex-boyfriend, signed off by giving a style tip. She said that her style tip was to be oneself. She said that one should own who they are and should be ok with it. Serena advised that if someone wants to be different it is ok to be different. The important thing is to be just oneself.
