The 77th BAFTA Film Awards 2024 took place on Sunday at the Royal Festival Hall, South Bank Centre in London. The ceremony was star-studded with a range of A-listers including Margot Robbie. The fashion chameleon is nominated in the leading actress category for the incredible performance she delivered in Greta Grewig’s Barbie.

Known for her impeccable fashion sense, the actress once again stole the spotlight with a look that screamed Barbie glam. Her attire was a combination of Hollywood elegance and playful Barbie.

For the occasion, Margot slipped into a custom Giorgio Armani Prive silk pink and black velvet gown that accented a sweetheart neckline and a black paillette embroidery while accentuating her gorgeous frame. Her gown combines the timeless elegance of Old Hollywood with playful pops of pink creating history in fashion.

To add a touch of drama to the ensemble, she paired the dress with coordinating black opera gloves and black statement-making diamond-encrusted earrings. To finish off her glam, the star opted for nude lip shade, beaming highlighter, groomed eyebrows, rosy blush, and soft peachy-pink eyeshadow. Lastly, she styled in hair in an updo with fringes falling to her face from either side adding spark to the overall look.

Throughout the award season, Margot has been following Barbie-inspired fashion trends and while not the direct replication of the doll’s wardrobe, the Asteroid City star has been playing with the colors and she described her BAFTA ensemble as “Barbie-esque.”

As expected, the acting mogul was accompanied by her beau, Tom Ackeery, who sported a classic black tuxedo and bowtie. Together the pair made a dashing entry on the red carpet exuding confidence and charm.

At this year’s event, the comedy film Barbie acquired a total of five nominations including Margot’s credit for the leading actress. The other categories for which the movie was nominated included Costume Design and Production Design. Besides these, the Hollywood power couple Noah Baumbach, and Greta Gerwig were awarded for the Best Original Screenplay, and the movie lead, Ryan Gosling also received a nod for Best Actor in Supporting Role.

Barbie was not the only movie by Margot that was nominated at the event.  Her flick Saltburn, where she worked as a producer was also nominated for Oustanding British Film and Original Score at the 2024 BAFTA Awards. Jacob Elordi, Barry Keoghan, and Rosamund Pike earned nominations for Supporting Actor, Leading Actor, and Supporting Actress, respectively for the roles they played in the film.
