The Miami Police Denied Any Involvement In The Controversial Arrest Of The Two
As per the Travis County Sheriff’s Office reports, the pair was taken into custody following the arrest warrant from another agency. Mr. and Mrs. Clenney are accused of hacking into Christian Obumseli’s computer after gaining its possession even before the police could confiscate it. According to the latest reports, they are expected to be extradited to Miami. According to the law of the state of Florida, unauthorized access to the computer is considered to be a third-degree felony.
The computer used by Coiurtney’s boyfriend was left abandoned in the apartment they shared before his murder. As per various sources, Courtney’s parents and one of their lawyers, Frank Prieto, were alleged in a chat conversation where they discussed the possible passwords of Obumseli’s computer as well as the transfer of the device from their possession. According to the investigators, along with his laptop, several other possessions of Obumseli were taken away from the condo.
According to a spokesperson, officials in charge of the investigation had requested access to Courtney’s cellphone, her iCloud as well as her parents’ cellphone and iCloud details.
The murder case has been making headlines across the world. Miami police, who are investigating the murder said they were unaware of the arrest of the parents of the accused. Meanwhile, TMZ also stated that the arrest was part of the evidence tampering.
Obumseli’s attorney, Larry Handfield said Tuesday night that the family is finally satisfied as “the justice is being served.” However, there has been no comment from Courtney’s attorney after Tuesday night.
The investigators of the murder are convinced that the pair was given access to his computer to make the necessary changes before their daughter was arrested in Hawaii 4 months after the brutal murder. Courtney, 28, is accused of stabbing her then-boyfriend, Obumseli, in their Edgewater condominium in April 2022. The police believe, she fatally stabbed him after they entered a heated argument. Although she wasn’t immediately arrested, currently she is charged with second-degree murder. The arrest came after a four-month investigation by Miami homicide detectives.

The U.S. Marshals Service and the Hawaii County Police Department together located Courtney after the Miami County Police Department issued an arrest warrant for her. Although she initially denied the allegations of murder, Courtney admitted to stabbing Obumseli after a while. As per the reports, she was seen cradling the man in blood when the Miami police officers reached the murder scene. Due to the depth of the scar and the amount of blood covering his face, it was hard for the police to identify the man, however, they later found the dead to be Courtney’s boyfriend, Obumseli.
Ever since the social media influencer, who boasted over 2 million followers on Instagram under the name Courtney Tailor was arrested, the murder case began to gain more coverage and reach from different parts of the world.
