You might be aware of the changes that yoga can bring into your lives. Also, yoga is familiar to us for maintaining balanced health. But have you ever heard of doing yoga for hair growth? Sounds strange? But yes, this is a thing. And the benefits are double. These yoga poses promote not just hair health, but your overall physical and mental health as well! In this article, let’s learn more about yoga asanas and their impact on hair growth.

How Yoga Can Affect Your Hair?

It is interesting how easy is it to regain back the luscious looks that you have always dreamt of with yoga. All you need is a yoga mat to spread over and start learning some poses. A lot of people have different opinions about considering yoga as a remedy for hair fall. But all of these non-approving statements have to agree with the fact that yoga increases blood circulation of your hair.

You might be wondering how yoga benefits your hair growth!

Let’s break down this into two. There are two ways through which yoga practice can benefit you with increased hair growth.

  • One of the main reasons why hair fall happens is stress and who doesn’t know! Yoga reduces stress. So, by practicing yoga, you can control hair loss to a great extent.
  • Yoga also helps in regulating blood flow and thus helps with hair growth. One of the most helpful yoga poses is the head stand pose.

If we get down to the kinds of yoga poses, it is said that all forward-bending asanas bring the circulation of blood flow to the head region and also increase general circulation. They are great to improve your memory and other cognitive abilities too. But when it comes to the effectiveness of different poses of yoga for hair growth, unfortunately, it requires more scientific studies. Some say that the shoulder stand, downward dog pose, and mudra yoga have proven to show excellent results and are some of the most effective yoga asanas for good hair health. However, all the effects of yoga sink if you don’t practice it daily or 3-4 days a week.
