Grammys 2024: Aguilera's magical attire

This year, the Grammy Awards was nothing short of a runway as celebrities appeared, one after the other, in dresses that looked both unique and alluring. On Feb.4, Christina Aguilera stepped onto the stage of Arena Stadium on the occasion of the 66th Grammy Awards to present the award for the Best Musical Ubana Album wearing a full-sleeved genie-inspired blue gown. All thanks to Disney that yesterday we got to see the fashionista in its signature color.

The body-fit gown featured a high neckline, however, the highlight of the ensemble was the floor-grazing hem. Christina opted for a soft look this time, igniting speculations from the fans as they wonder if that is a change she incorporated into her style in 2024. The saga usually appears in skin-baring looks, corsets, and latex, and sometimes all at once and the sudden change has urged people to speculate whether or not 2024 is her soft era.

The gown features a gathered and draped detail at the hip making her frame accentuate a little more. Her glam included minimal makeup with cherry red lipstick and pushed-back ice-blonde hair. She further sided her outfit with white tiny diamond earrings and rings from the Bucherer Fine Jewelry.

She walked to the stage along with Maluma who rocked a classic black suit with a black bow, black shiny shoes, and shades.

Christina is no longer a stranger to the biggest night in the music. Some of her iconic outfits originated from the Grammys including the 2004 plunging gown that she wore in her “Beautiful” era when she rocked black hair, shimmering silver Versace number that was restyled by some of the biggest names of the industry, including Dua Lipa. Also, last year she made headlines for her statement-making purple dress at the 2022 Latin Grammys.

So far, she has been nominated for a total of 21 Grammy Awards and has bagged five. Her first Grammy was in 2000, more than 2 decades ago, for Best New Artist. In 2023, Christian was nominated for Best Latin Pop Album, for Aquilera, which was her second Spanish language release after the album titled, “Mi Reflejo.” The album has played a major role in modifying her career as it earned her the Latin Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Album as well as a pair of Billboard Latin Music Awards.

“It has been amazing to come back to this home,” she said during her last win (Award for the Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album). Referring to her fans as fighters, she said, “Fighters, thank you so much.” She then went on to show her gratitude towards them.

It was an incredible year for her as she received seven nominations in total including Song of the Year, Album of the Year, and several other categories. Every year, the songstress always makes sure to come into the spotlight, either for her music or for her fashion. The second field in which she is a mogul is fashion, after music. This year, she joined the myriad of actors including Miley Cyrus, Kelsea Ballerini, Tylor Swift, Duas Lipa, Halle Bailey, Lenny Kravitz, and others, in making the 66th Grammy Awards historical in terms of fashion.
