Metallica’s James Hetfield Gets His Nickname ‘Papa Het’ Tattooed On His Right Hand 

James Hetflied’s new tattoo will only make you think – ‘Why didn’t he get this tattoo earlier?’ because the tattoo looks dope. Especially, when we all know that Hetfield is revered for having the most dominant picking hand in metal. So, getting a tattoo on the top of his right hand only makes his look and on-stage persona even dapper. Not to forget, he also has “RIFF” tattooed across his knuckles on his right hand. Flaunted with his new tattoo, his right hand looks nothing short of a Metallica weapon.

James Hetfield’s new ‘Papa Het’ tattoo, however, did not get the buzz as much as his neck tattoo got earlier this summer. The new tattoo only became evident when Corey Miller posted photos of him with Hetfield on Instagram. Corey is the same tattoo artist who inked the neck tattoo on Hetfield. 

The tattoo artist captioned “Meant to post this the other night.. yes we were at METALLICA show.. it was awesome.. and the this happened.. huge honor tattooing on of the greatest rockers in the world.. always a fun hang.. thanx James.. @metallica”.

Folks have noticed and admired James’s winged open-mouth skull tattoo that he has on the left side of his neck. In late August, the Metallica frontman got a few words inked on the right side of his neck by Corey Miller. The tattoo reads, “Thy Will Not Mine Be Done”.

“infatuated with angels and just the next afterlife or something, and my parents kind of leaving this earth earlier than others, having some kind of guide in my life. ‘Cause I know I should have died hundreds of times. And I know I’m not the only one, but I can only speak for myself that I know there are things — like after I’ve done something like, ‘Wow, that was really stupid. I could have…’ It’s, like, ‘Man, my mom or dad or somebody made that car turn this way instead or something.’ And it’s kind of nice to realize those things.”

Metallica 12th Studio Album Release – “72 Seasons”

Metallica released its 12th studio album “72 Seasons” in April this year. The band released its newest album via Blackened Recordings, Metallica’s own record label. 72 Seasons has 12 tracks spanning over 77 minutes. The records are produced by Metallica’s Hetfield and drummer Lars Ulrich, in collaboration with Greg Fieldman. 72 Seasons is the first full-length collection by Metallica after their album “Hardwired…To Self-Destruct”, released in 2016.
