Cold shower and cold swimming are swiftly becoming a favorite hobby for fitness freaks. According to an article published by Harvard Public Health, cold water swimming provides mental health benefits(1). Kate recalls an incident when she visited her well-wishers in Wales earlier this year. She saw someone who wore a robe to keep warm in the rain, and said – she wears one of them when she goes cold water swimming.
Princess Kate makes sure that she remains healthy, active, and in shape by following different kinds of sports activities such as Tennis (Her Anmer Hall home has a tennis court). Besides, she also loves to jump on the trampoline with her three children.
The conversation then also led to Mike pointing out the competitive side of Kate. He said, “I’m not going to say you’re uber-competitive”.
To which she replied coyly, “I’m not competitive at all.”
Although, it is quite evident in Princess Kate and Prince William’s royal outings that the couple are quite competitive. The healthy competition could be seen when the couple went for a spin bike race and Kate won. While William held the victory in a sailing contest with Kate.
And well, when it comes to tennis, Kate admitted that she and her husband have never “actually managed to finish a game.”
“It becomes a mental challenge between the two of us,” Kate said. To which William added that it comes down to “who can out-mental each other.”
Mike asked the couple and Princess Ann if the competitiveness has passed down to the royal kids – Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis,5. Princess Ann answered that saying, “Just a little bit, I would suggest.”
“They’re obviously still really young,” she continued. “It’s going to be interesting to see how that grows and develops.”
