Leviss Spills the VanderPump Rules Tea: “I Have to tell my own story”

Rachel Leviss has informed her fans that she will watch the 11th season of VanderPump after her bitter exit from the show after the scandalous affair with her co-star Tom Sandoval, which sparked controversy as he was cheating on Ariana Madix, his girlfriend of nine years.

Rachel Leviss, after her bitter exit from VanderPump Rules, has decided to tell her side of the story(1) through her podcast “Rachel Goes Rogue,” in which she busted many of the rumors surrounding her and gave the audience the chance to see both sides of the story.

She found herself in the middle of a reality TV drama, where the producers sacrificed her for a better viewership. They achieved this by creating as much drama and controversy as possible within each episode. They resumed the shooting of the 10th season after the scandal to milk as much viewership as possible. 

The producers’ gamble paid off, turning the 10th season of the reality show the most viewed since the show’s first season and even earning Emmy nominations. She expressed this mode of creating fake controversy as extremely vulgar and unjust.

She also expressed how Sandoval manipulated her, as she wanted to come out and tell the truth without waiting for the reunion, but he stopped her and advised her to stick to the timeline they initially planned and that he would take care of it. Eventually reaching the three-part reunion, which ended in a catastrophe for her career at VanderPump.

Leviss knew if she didn’t return, there would be no chance to reveal her side of the story, and she used her podcast to get the story to the audience.

She also vehemently rejected the notion of her making big bucks from this scandal. Unlike Ariana Madix, who made about one million dollars in endorsements and even made her Broadway debut, she further elaborated that she hadn’t made a single penny from it, and her decision to not return was due to her lack of interest in having her story written by the producers.

Leviss spilled the tea by confirming the producer’s hands behind pulling the strings in her getting close to Sandoval, as they encouraged her to crash his night out. All the while letting him know of her arrival early on to create a romantic atmosphere and act as if he was genuinely happy with her sudden arrival.

This genuine acting won her heart and made her feel special, which later turned their relationship into more of a romantic one. She also doubts whether their relationship was self-inserted by Sandoval to make sure he would be present for the next season with much greater significance. He had a history of setting up drama for the upcoming seasons.

She also regrets taking part in the 10th season, as she had a chance to withdraw from all the drama. But her breaking engagement with her then-fiance, James, and later watching him get a new girlfriend within a mere three weeks broke her, leaving her questioning whether it was all a fad and if he loved her or was it some reality TV gimmick. 

All of this put a strain on her mental health, forcing her to consume huge amounts of alcohol during her filming in the 10th season. The 29-year-old accepts it is not something to be held accountable for her mistakes; she believes it also has its place in her deterioration of mental health.

She also expressed that one of the major reasons behind her exit was Ariana Madix, as she did not want to inflict more pain on Ariana than she already had. She further elaborates that she was in a hell of pain watching her ex-fiance strutting around her with his girlfriend in the 10th season; she doesn’t like to inflict the same pain on Ariana.

She also expressed her understanding of Ariana wishing not to reconcile and forgive her, as she would also not want to do the same if she were in the same shoes.

Lewsiss is watching the 11th season to address any rumors and to set things straight. She wishes to show the audience that you can tell your side of the story without ever taking part in the reality show.
