Pippa, Catherine’s younger sister, the Princess of Wales, has been in the spotlight more frequently since her sister, the former Kate Middleton, wed Prince William in 2011. According to gossip articles, Pippa, 33, is just a superficial socialite who follows her sister’s footsteps. In an interview, last year, Pippa mentioned that it was a comment she hated the most. She said that people consider her privileged, and think that she uses her position to her advantage. But it irritates Pippa that people address her as the party girl without any substance.

Pippa’s Appearance At The Royal Wedding

Pippa played a significant supporting role during the royal wedding in April 2011 as Kate’s maid of honor. Pippa was present to guide the young bridal party into Westminster Abbey and carry the train of Kate’s Alexander McQueen gown, even though she may have gained notoriety for her gorgeous bridesmaid outfit.

While talking about the event in an interview Pippa said that even though it sounds funny, Pippa and her family saw the wedding just as their family function. She said she didn’t realize the intensity of the function then. Pippa also added that they took the roles as a family like any other family.

Pippa’s Marriage To Her Billionaire Husband

 James Matthews, a former race car driver who made his fortune managing hedge funds, is Pippa Middleton’s husband. Middleton and Matthews initially crossed paths in the middle of the 2000s when on a family holiday on the Caribbean island of St. Bart’s, where Matthews’ family runs a resort. They only dated for a few months in 2012 before deciding to get engaged to one another in 2015. In July 2016 Middleton and James Matthews got engaged in the Lake District.

On May 20, 2017, the pair tied the knot in St. Mark’s Church, located at Englefield Estate in Berkshire, close to Bucklebury Manor, the Middleton family’s estate. Pippa will receive Lady Glen Affric’s title once her husband inherits the lairdship. She currently, uses the courtesy title, Mrs. Matthews of Glen Affric the Younger.

Kate Middleton returned the favor to her sister by being in a supporting role in Pippa’s Englefield wedding. The former Duchess of Cambridge, looking stylish in a light pink McQueen gown, maintained a close eye on the youthful bridal party, which included her children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

Previously, Pippa had dated Thomas Kingston, who later married Lady Gabriella, daughter of Prince Michael of Kent, whose first cousin was Queen Elizabeth II. As per the British Press Association, Thomas Kingston passed away on February 25 at the age of 45. Also, Middleton dated stockbroker Nico Jackson for three years before their breakup in 2015.

Similar to her sister, the Princess of Wales. Pippa is also a mother of three children. Pippa and her husband, Matthews welcomed their first child, Arthur in 2018. Later, in March 2021 and June 2022, they welcomed their daughters Grace and Rose respectively. 

Pippa wrote a blog for the British supermarket chain Waitrose before the birth of her first child, Arthur, discussing the physical changes that pregnancy brought about and how exercises like stretching, meditation, and walking helped her equip herself for childbirth.

Pippa’s Relation With Her Sister Kate

Born barely 21 months apart, the Middleton sisters were raised in Bucklebury, Berkshire, and both went to Marlborough College, a boarding institution. A mutual interest in sports, such as hockey, tennis, and athletics, has carried over into adulthood for Kate and Pippa. Pippa also supported Kate at the Christmas carol concert two years in a row.
