Brittany Cartwright And Jax Taylor Opens Up About Their Split In A Joint Interview

Brittany Cartwright is setting things straight regarding the speculations on her split with Jax Taylor. The 35-year-old Valley actor revealed the current state of their relationship and their living situation while addressing reports that an affair caused the estranged couple’s separation. In contrast to the speculation that Taylor’s adultery caused the “Vanderpump Rules” alum’s marriage to collapse, Cartwright’s most recent interview discloses the true cause of their split and the reason they chose to take a break.

Brittany Opens Up At The Latest Interview

In the latest interview, Brittany denied the rumors that she parted ways with Jax as he cheated on her. She opened up that they split as they had fights between them and they were not on the same page. She revealed that it was creating a negative space in their house. Brittany also said that she doesn’t want her son to live in such a house and to think that it is normal to live in such an atmosphere. 

Brittany also clarified that Jax had not cheated on her but they got into a very bad fight. Due to this she packed her bags and decided to move out of their house. She said that she was staying in an Airbnb from  January 24. 

According to the latest reveal by the reality star, she and Jax parted their ways a while ago and have only revealed it recently because the fans and social media investigators have been promoting rumors of their split. Cartwright continued that she felt the need to reveal the news of their split only because the Instagram sleuths realized that she and Taylor were living in separate houses and rumors started spinning crazily everywhere. Brittany also said that she felt strongly about her decision to get out for a while.

Jax’s Response To The Separation

In the same interview, Taylor spoke out about how he felt after they split up. He seemed to be saying that if they couldn’t find their lost spark again, the break might become irreversible. He said that he does not have much fight left in him and added that they are separated and are trying to work it on. Even if he is unsure about the future, he shared Cartwright’s excitement over their son’s well-being despite their separation. Taylor stressed that he would do what is best for their son. He also added that both of them have agreed that their son would be their first priority. He added that it is about knowing that his son has got two loving parents, whether they are together or not. 

The Official Announcement Of The Separation

The separation of the 4 years marriage of the Brittany-Jax couple was made official through their joint podcast “When Reality Hits” on February 29. On the podcast, the Vanderpump Rules alumni said that many people have been asking about their relationship and she has felt the need to be real and honest with the audience. She said that they have shared so much about their lives with the audience and hence it was so important for her to not lie to them. 

She continued by saying that she had talked about many marriages going through rocky times in her last podcast and admitted that marriages in general are very hard. She also said that she had a particularly rough year in the past year. She revealed in the podcast that Jax and she had been taking time apart and she had decided to move into another house to take some space for her mental health.

Jax and Britanny first met in 2015 while on a vacation in Las Vegas. The couple who called it a quit in December 2017 reunited in 2018 and shared the engagement news in June 2018. The reality star couple tied the knot in a Kentucky Castle in June 2020. The couple welcomed their first son Cruz on April 12, 2021, and decided to split from their 4 years of relationship last January.
