Dolly Parton Is Whipping Something Delicious With Her Sister Rachel

Dolly Parton is ready to conquer new adventures in life. In a recent interview, where she ruled out the rumors regarding her retirement plans, Dolly mentioned that she has many dreams to achieve and new dreams come up every day. Parton also talked about her future aspirations of starting her network television show, as well as her own makeup and wig lines in the interview.  Days after the interview, Parton is back with something special and different. She is all set to take things beyond music. Two days ago Dolly Parton announced her new cookbook “Good Lookin’ Cookin’” which will hit the market in the coming months.

Good Lookin’ Cookin’

The country icon is ready to release her cookbook “Good Lookin’ Cookin’” along with her sister, Rachel Parton George on 17 September 2024. Parton announced the exciting news through her Instagram page on 6 March. She expressed her joy in sharing her favorite recipes through the book to the people. 

Parton shared the cover of the book along with the pictures of some dishes on her social media. She poured out her excitement in her new venture in the caption of the post. She wrote, “Well, what’s cookin’ good lookin’?” and shared the news of releasing the new cookbook. Further, she added that the book was written along with her sister Rachel, whom she addressed as the best cook. Parton wrote that people like them believe that the next best thing to pure love is good food and good times. So, she invites all the people to join in the journey to the kitchen. She added the release date in the caption and provided the link to pre-order the book which is to hit the market in coming September. The book, which is available on Amazon for pre-ordering, is already a No.1 Bestseller, just hours after the country icon’s announcement.

Penguin Random House, the book’s publisher, released a statement saying, “In ‘Good Lookin’ Cookin’ Dolly and Rachel share tips for hosting events all year long, including twelve multi-course menus of cherished recipes for Mother’s Day,  New Year’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and more.”

The book also invites people to be a part of the Parton family kitchen, as it shares the recipes of their special dishes. According to Penguin Randon House, the book will teach people about the amount of butter or whipped cream that goes into “Dolly Dallop”, what condiment is nearly always included at Parton family dinners, and what unique dish does Rachel prepare at Dolly’s annual request on her birthday. 
The book includes American classic recipes such as Country Ham and Biscuits, Barbecue Spare Ribs, Family Favorite Meatloaf, Slaw of Many Colors, Watermelon Fruit Salad, Mac and Cheese, and Strawberry Shortcake. More than 80 recipes and pictures of Parton and her sister will be included in the book which will make people feel part of the Parton family.

Parton, The Passionate Chef

Parton is no stranger to the culinary arts. She enjoys baking chocolate cake for her spouse Carl Dean, who is a passionate chef, and runs a product line with Duncan Hines and its parent firm Conagra. 

In an interview, Parton shared that she is excited about everything she does. She said that they have had great success and more things are coming up from them. Parton also addressed herself more as a cook than as a baker. Growing up in an impoverished background Parton remembers being in the kitchen with somebody as their lives were centered there. She said that they were born cooking.
