Hard knocks appreciate her, and the toffs dread her. With her love of Arnold Schwarzenegger films and her grounded energy, Scodelario, who exudes charm, perfectly inhabits the part of Glass.

Kaya Talks About Ritchie’s “Last Minute Changes”

In an interview, Scodelario shared her experience of shooting with Guy Ritchie. She was told that it would be an experience different from any other job. Kaya addressed it as a very unique experience of her life. According to her people should experience it as no one could not explain it.

Kaya also explained the filming process and the major changes Ritchie made during the filmmaking process. She said that Ritchie made major changes with little notice. Ritchie changes everything at the last minute. Kaya also said that he has a clear vision of what he wants things to be. She said it is a bit of a journey to find the exact thing, but when he does it will be quite interesting.

Scodelario shared it was intimidating at first. She said that the most important thing for an actor is to learn lines and get prepared, but the set of The Gentlemen was different for her. It was like do not learn the lines as they will be changed at the last minute. She even said that learning lines made it more confusing. But Kaya found it exciting and a new way of working. She felt it like a new muscle to flex.

Kaya continued that the changes may be sometimes big like an entire scene being directed from a new perspective. She shared instances when a scene was shot in a completely different direction which made her wonder how it worked. She said that after the edits it all made sense and made her realize Ritchie knew what he wanted to do.

Susie And Her Changing Wardrobe

In the interview, Kaya said that being a child who was terrified of her friends’ mothers, she found several resemblances to Susie as she fell into the same category. She said that as she grew up she was most scared of her friends’ parents, especially their mothers, which made her think Susie was the same. She said that Susie was an observer. According to Kaya, Susie was a chameleon who would slip into different worlds.

While discussing Susie’s changing wardrobe Kaya said that she would be seen differently according to the situation. She elaborated by saying that in a manor house, Susie would be wearing tweed and country clothes, whereas in London she would be seen in a gym box and an edgier trench coat. Scodelario said that even when Susie knew everything that was happening around her, she wanted others to feel safe around her, which led to this character.
