Selena Gomez In Her Black Sequined Dress At The 75th Emmy Awards

The highly anticipated 75th Emmy Awards of 2024 took place immediately following the glorious Golden Globes Awards! This event took place on Monday (January 15) at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles where hundreds of celebrities were spotted amongst which American singer and actor, Selena Gomez turned heads on the red carpet with her breathtaking black sequin gown. She was accompanied by her boyfriend, Benny Blanco who is an American record producer and actor.

Gomez looked stunning at the Emmys flaunting an Oscar de la Renta illusion dress that embraced her curves. There were 450,000 sequins in the semi-sheer design, beautifully arranged to reveal a hint of skin for that glam and sexy look. The outfit has a figure-hugging fit that accentuates Selena’s voluptuous figure, a plunging neckline that reveals her decolletage with an embroidered fern design embellished with wine-red shimmering sequins on a sheer base, and a strapless silhouette.

She kept her hair tied up into a side-parted bun. Gomez maintained the glitz with some eye-popping jewels that included a whopping 35-carat morganite stone set in a Tiffany & Co. bird-shaped necklace adorned with diamonds, pink sapphires, and other sparkling gems to die for!

Gomez carried a clutch by Tyler Ellis and she completed it with Schlumberger’s matching flower ring. The final touch was a “Gothic Glam Black Cherry” manicure by manicurist Tom Bachik(1). According to Bachik’s Instagram post, Gomez’s dress’s elaborate pattern needed to be complemented by the strong oval shape and custom color.

The famous makeup artist Hung Vanngo added a dark romance to Gomez’s glam with a smoky eye, serious lash extensions, and a deep red matte lip. In contrast, Blanco opted for a more laid-back style, maybe in an attempt to draw attention away from his girlfriend. He dressed himself in a long, dark blue trench coat that buttoned down below and was paired with satin pants. Although Blanco did not walk the red carpet with Gomez to take pictures with her, he was by her side the entire night with his girlfriend’s co-stars.

Well, Selena was not only there to set the red carpet on fire but also to support her television show Only Murders in the Building which is up for nomination in two categories: Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Writing for a Nonfiction Program. As the photos and videos that have surfaced on Instagram, the couple was seen sitting with Steve Martin and Martin Short who are Selena’s co-stars from Only Murders in the Building.

For those who have been following Gomez and Blanco’s relationship, the big moment shouldn’t come as a huge surprise. Even though they only recently became public, it’s said that the two have been dating for more than six months. Gomez has referred to her new partner as “the best thing that’s ever happened to me” and claimed that he “has treated me better than any human being on this planet.”

Gomez and Blanco first crossed paths at work when Blanco produced tracks for Gomez’s Revival album from 2015. Additionally, he contributed to her most recent song, “Single Soon,” and that may be when their current romance started to take off. Gomez recently declared that she thought she still had “one more album” in her. She admitted to the Smartless podcast, “I’m going to want to chill because I’m tired.” Perhaps, though, the opportunity to collaborate more with her boyfriend will encourage her to reconnect with her musical side.

Selena’s super hit show “Only Murders in the Building” which was telecasted on Hulu is not a newbie to the Emmy race. The program took home three Emmys for its debut season in 2022, with Nathan Lane taking home the trophy for Outstanding Guest Actor. This year, he is nominated in the same category once more.

Additionally, Martin Short received a second consecutive nomination for Lead Actor in a Comedy. “I like Oliver’s ceaseless efforts to maintain a cheerful attitude. Short remarked, “I adore how much he loves himself. Thanks to the large part to the enduring support of beloved comedy duo Steve Martin and Martin Short, the show’s comedic take on true crime has garnered a devoted fan base.

Selena Gomez said, “I enjoy being the middle person and I have so much fun playing off of them” about working alongside the duo. The show was also nominated for its writing and casting.
