Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Expanded to Canada Giving In To PM Justin Trudeau’s Plea

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour will now come home to Canadian Swifties!  Following a heartfelt plea from Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, the celebrity singer has finally announced a much-awaited series of six tour dates in Toronto as part of her record-breaking Eras World Tour.

Swift shared the exciting news on her social media platforms. She has also revealed additional tour stops in New Orleans, Miami, and Indianapolis.

The star singer lately announced Eras Tour across US and Canada with new locations and dates in 2024. The 33-year-old singer-songwriter surprised fans by announcing 15 additional concerts on social media on Thursday. The new stops include Miami, New Orleans, Indianapolis and Toronto, with three consecutive shows in each city.

Initially, Canada was excluded from her widely successful tour. The news came as a huge disappointment for Candian Swifties, which included Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Trudeau made a personal public appeal on behalf of Canada on July 5 to include Canada in Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour map. He wrote,

“It’s me, hi. I know places in Canada would love to have you. So, don’t make it another cruel summer. We hope to see you soon.”

The singer broke the exciting news on Thursday in an Insta post, writing,

“Turns out it’s NOT the end of an era 😝 Miami, New Orleans, Indy and Toronto: The Eras Tour is coming to you in 2024 with @gracieabrams! Verified fan registration for all shows is open now – visit TaylorSwift.com for more information.”

The announcement was greeted with a lot of excitement from Swifties — fans of Swift — in North America, especially in Canada, where the tour is being eagerly anticipated.

The Toronto tour dates are set for November 2024, and eager fans can secure their tickets as they go on sale next week. 

She will make her captivating performances in Toronto from November 14 to 16, 2024, followed by another set of shows from November 21 to 23, 2024.

With Canada taken into Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour map, this will make Swift’s first tour dates in Canada since her Reputation Tour back in 2018. Notably, she will also be the first artist to perform at Toronto’s esteemed Rogers Centre with a six-show stint.

Taylor will kick off her International Eras Tour on August 28 from Mexico City and will be performing in major cities like Melbourne, Australia; Sydney, Australia; Singapore; Paris; Stockholm, Sweden; Lisbon, Portugal; Madrid, Spain; Lyon, France; Edinburgh, Scotland; Liverpool, United Kingdom; Cardiff, UK; London; Dublin; Amsterdam; Zürich; Milan; Gelsenkirchen, Germany; Hamburg, Germany; Munich; Warsaw and Vienna.
