The husband-and-wife couple on ‘Vanderpump Rules’, Scheana Shay and Brock Davies, have been cast as guest stars in an upcoming episode of NBC sitcom Lopez vs. Lopez, which will air on April 23. The series, created by George Lopez and Mayan Lopez premiered in 2022. It was renewed in 2023 for season two, which is set to premiere on April 2, 2024.

Shay and Davies will be appearing as guest characters Erica and Justin, respectively, on the show. The plot of the series revolves around George Lopez and his daughter Mayan Lopez (appearing as fictionized versions of themselves). The two are reunited after years of estrangement since her teenage years. Mayan’s husband Quinten (played by Matt Shilvey) is also part of the drama as the father-daughter duo tries to heal and reconnect with each other.

The official description for “Lopez vs. Lopez” reads, “George Lopez and his daughter, Mayan, return to NBC to put the fun back in dysfunctional family comedy. This time there will be big life changes for Mayan and the whole Lopez familia while George takes his first step in sobriety. Get ready for another season of ‘Lopez vs. Lopez’ that will have you laughing, crying and shouting ‘ta loca!”

As per NBC, Vanerpump Rules Couple Scheana Shay and Brock Davies are cast as rival parents of Maya and Quinten’s son “Chance” at his school.

Who are Scheana Shay and Brock Davies in Vanerpump Rules?

Scheana Shay has been part of the Vanderpump reality television show since its inception in 2013. She is one of the central figures of Team Vanderpump that works for Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurants and bars. Shay’s husband Brock Davies joined the show later on in Season 9. They both share a daughter, Summer Moon Honey. Summer was born in 2021 before her father’s entry into the show and is turning 3 on the 26th of next month.

After Vanderpump Rules midseason trailer came out, there have been speculations that the couple’s marriage is on the rocks. In what has been interpreted as Scheana Shay questioning the future of their relationship, she was heard saying to Brock Davies, “I don’t think you and I are going to be together forever.”

Apparently, the “Scandoval” drama that unfolded in season 10 has played a part in the tension between the married couple as well. In a notorious set of events, cast member Ariana Madix had discovered her long-time partner Tom Sandoval cheating on her with their friend and castmate Rachel. This had caused a rift in the entire team with fans eager to see who’s on whose team.

Shay, who knew Madix even before the starting of the show, has stood by her longtime friend throughout the drama. However, Ariana’s loyalty towards Shay was questioned after she failed to back the latter in a social media attack. This was after a photo showing Shay posing next to Sandoval surfaced online. Although the photo was nothing more than costars posing together with a fan, it led to a commotion among netizens and the cast members. Ariana later clarified in an aftershow that she did not think it was necessary to show her support and respond online every time. Ariana also made up for it by calling Shay an “amazing friend” in a later Instagram post.

A glimpse of the sparks about to fly in season 11 was shown in a clip featuring the first face-to-face of Ariana and Tom since the last season. Scheana and Sandoval were also seen crossing words as the former battles the dilemma of whether to forgive Sandoval or not for cheating on her friend Ariana with their mutual friend Rachel Leviss.

“I now have f**ked up thoughts about Brock and Lala [Kent], one of my best friends, because I’m like, ‘Oh my god, could someone do that tom me? You did that!” Scheana was seen yelling at him.
