Tech Mogul Spends $2 Million year to become 18 year old

Bryan Johnson, founder of Biotech spends $2 million every year to rewind the clock of his body to his teenage through a program called ‘Project Blueprint’(1). The program seems germane to many folks in America. Johnson, a 45-year-old tech centimillionaire has a team of 30 doctors and medical experts to observe his body functions and is constantly putting efforts to reverse the aging process.  The team is dedicated to working on each of his organs and claims to have reduced his phenotypic age by 5.1 years through his own program.

Homo sapiens have found innovations in the field of eternal youth always fascinating. This might be one story that has broken the shackles of imagination. No one before Johnson, might not have gone this far to nurture their youth. He has busted a lot of myths.

The California-based CEO of KernelCo has taken extreme levels of anti-aging techniques to fulfill his dream to have an 18-year-old body.

Project Blueprint Routine

Under Project Blueprint, Johnson follows a strictly regimented routine and abides by a vegan diet. He consumes 1,977 calories per day, exercises for an hour, and sleeps at the same time every night. His morning begins at 5 am with two dozen supplements and a green juice with creatine and collagen peptides.

Throughout the day, Johnson’s vitals are observed and reviewed. Ultrasounds, MRIs, colonoscopies, and blood tests are regular features in the life of the 45-year-old, whose weight, body mass index, body fat, blood glucose levels, and heart-rate variations are measured daily.

“What I do may sound extreme, but I’m trying to prove that self-harm and decay are not inevitable,” Bryan Johnson told the outlet.

The CEO’s medical team is headed by Oliver Zolman, a 29-year-old physician whose goal is to prove that humans can reduce the biological age of their organs by 25%.

“There is no person in the world who is 45 chronologically but 35 in every organ,” Zolman told Bloomberg. “If we can eventually prove clinically and statistically that Bryan has made that change, then it will be such a large effect size that it will have to be causative of the intervention and beyond what’s genetically possible.”

On his Blueprint website, Johnson writes that the project was born “after feeling helpless to stop me from overeating to soothe the pains of life. Despite my successes: raising three kids and selling my business Braintree Venmo for $800 million; when 7 pm rolled around, there was nothing I could do to stop myself from engaging in this self-destructive behavior.”

Bryan Johnson’s Growth

Bryan Johnson is the Founder/CEO of Kernel, OS Fund, and (formerly) Braintree Venmo. Also an outdoor-adventure enthusiast, pilot, and author of children’s books, Code 7 and The Proto Project.

Johnson believes that quantifying, exploring, and understanding the human brain and mind is the most consequential opportunity in history. The future is the manifestation of our cognition, and this new frontier of exploration begins within ourselves.

Prior to Kernel, the 45-year-old venture capitalist built Braintree Venmo which he sold in 2013. Influenced by his ponderings on how we collectively thrive beyond what we can imagine.

After a learning curve, he understood a single insight that seemed most germane: a biological species survives and thrives according to its rate of evolutionary adaptation.

In 2016 Bryan started Kernel, personally backing the endeavor with $54M. The Kernel team includes world-class physicists, engineers, and neuroscientists who systematically evaluated the viability of building a brain interface that could be mainstream.

He finds that brains and minds remain mostly a black box. He said that it’s just like one can’t self-introspect to determine the cholesterol, much of the highest-value information about one and each other sits outside one’s conscious awareness. Bryan visions that Kernal interfaces will usher in a new era for neuroscience, psychiatry, and cognitive wellness by quantifying what was once felt.

In 2014, started OS Fund, seeding it with $100M, and began investing in companies predictably engineering the physical elements of the universe, plus 30 more remarkable companies.

Millions of people have the requisite skills to methodically enter symbols into machines which humans identify as computer programming. Collectively humans are an intelligence swarm for global opportunities and problems. His observation was that humans need the same swarm intelligence to predictably engineer the atoms, molecules, and organisms of our universe.
