Lady Gaga Recreates Her 2017 Halftime Show Glitter Makeup Look

Lady Gaga attended the Sunday match between the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs wearing a 49ers jacket and jersey. But more than her fit, the attendees had a lot to talk about the bejeweled makeup around her eyes. The makeup look served as a tribute to her 2017 Super Bowl halftime show look.

The “Bloody Mary” Singer Pays Tribute To Herself 

The upcoming Joker: Folie a Deux actress brought a little difference to the eye makeup as the crystals accompanying the eyeliner design were different from the previous one. However, the design was similar and was a clear nod to the ensemble, with both glitter makeup looks including white and red gems around the heavy black liner. 

Recently, celebrity makeup artist Sarah Tonno had revealed that the Marc Jacobs makeup that Gaga wore to headline the show 7 seven years ago was accompanied by Swarovski crystals. After the Oscar-winning pop star’s halftime show set became one of the most loved looks in the history of the event, the artist further disclosed that they were looking to create a look that she would admire even after a decade. The video of the songstress donning the glitter makeup garnered around 117.5 million views, making it one of the most-watched clips of that time. 

In 2016, Gaga kicked off the Super Bowl by singing the national anthem, and the next year, she managed to become the center of attraction with her iconic eye makeup and unforgettable power-packed performance. However, this year, there wasn’t much of a difference in her makeup, which was the ensemble’s highlight. This time, she recreated one of her most-celebrated looks and that came out to be fine. 

The singer-songwriter walked into the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas with her longtime boyfriend, Michael Polansky, and the two were seated in the midfield seats. Among the many other stars who attended the show were Beyonce, Justin Beiber, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jay-Z, Gwen Stefani, and Jeff Goldblum. 

Last week, Gaga made headlines for donning a “Clean Girl’ makeup look which was a part of the promotional activities of her Haus Labs recently released new lip-plumping gloss, PhD Hybrid Lip Glaze. As per the TikTok video of the “Poker Face” superstar, she was seen in a sleek clean girl makeup look, that she kept completely simple with brows, mascara, and full lips. In the TikTok clip, Gaga was seen singing along with Ariana Grande, who was performing on her Hot 100 chart-topper “Yes, And,” in a ponytail, similar to Grande’s signature look. 

Gaga has been making headlines for a while now. She is never off the limelight.  Before the current recreation makeup, she was in the buzz for showing up in the clean girl makeup, and a month before that, the superstar made headlines for her upcoming music video. In June, she teased that she was working on different projects at the same time including the edit for her 2022 headlining concert tour, the shooting and other preparations for her upcoming film, Joker: Folie a Deux, some philanthropic activities, and managing her start-up, Haus Labs.
