Fino Hair Mask Reviews

A month back or so, I happened to come across this TikTok viral hair mask that was getting a lot of positive feedback. Ever since then, I’ve been seeing a lot of Fino hair mask reviews everywhere I scrolled. I have been on the quest for a hair mask that’s nourishing but doesn’t weigh down my hair or make it greasy for quite a while. So, I decided to give this one a try. Long story short, this hair mask, called the Shiseido Fino Premium Touch Hair Mask, has become a staple in my haircare routine.

Now, don’t get me wrong. The aim of this Fino hair mask review is not to persuade every one of you to give this mask a try. I intend to look at it from a different angle, analyzing every aspect of the mask, hoping to help you make an informed decision, mostly from an objective standpoint. So, here’s my straight-from-the-heart Fino hair mask review.

What Is Fino Hair Mask?

First, some background on the product– Fino hair mask is advertised as the perfect hair mask for dry and damaged hair, containing seven different kinds of beauty essences. The brand manufactures its products both in Japan and Taiwan and is known for using ingredients sourced mostly from nature.

The major ingredients used in the formula, like Royal Jelly and Para-Chloroamphetamine, are usually found in good quality, expensive hair care products and are known to repair and strengthen damaged hair by restoring moisture and shine. (We’ll get to the ingredients part soon, and this mask is meant for a certain type of hair, which I know for a fact from using it for almost a month.)

Going by the brand claims, the formula is designed in a way that it can penetrate into your hair, seal the moisture, and retain it for longer, making the hair appear healthy and free of frizz. Like your usual hair mask, it is easy to use but doesn’t require daily use. I only used it like once or twice a week and got the results I wanted.

So, thinking of giving a chance to that dull, damaged hair, aren’t you? Before that, remember something we put aside for taking a look at later? That’s right, the ingredients.

Fino Hair Mask Ingredients

The Fino hair mask formula, which promises to make your hair resilient and look alive again, is composed of seven key ingredients. I looked up what each one can do and here is what I learned.

Let’s start with Royal jelly, the primary ingredient. As you can assume from the ‘jelly’ part, it is rich in moisture and solves everything that moisturizing your hair and scalp can solve. It not only takes care of dry, flaky skin on your scalp but also reduces breakage, repairs damage from heat styling, and even increases the thickness of your hair strands.

The second pair of ingredients, both of which are naturally occurring sugars called Trehalose and Sorbitol, nourish the hair strands by binding oil and water molecules together. They prevent dehydration of hair even under extremely dry or humid conditions and keep it moisturized.

Pyrrolidone Carboxylic Acid, the third ingredient, is commonly used in bond-repairing salon treatments. This is the ingredient that gives your hair bounce and shine, and makes it softer, giving it a salon finish after the mask.

Fitosterol is an ingredient that soothes your scalp with its anti-inflammatory properties. A healthy, moisturized scalp will greatly benefit the hair, protecting it from future damage and promoting growth of new hair strands.

Lipidure is another ingredient that reduces frizz. It attaches itself to the surface of the hair strands, forms a protective shield, making it hydrophobic, and reduces flyaways even in a humid environment.

Now let’s talk about Squalane And Dimethicone – the popular pair commonly seen in every kind of good moisturizer, be it hair or skin. They fight oxidative stress and are used to treat skin or scalp conditions like psoriasis and dermatitis.

Finally, Glutamine, the seventh ingredient, is an amino acid that aids in new hair growth. It stimulates collagen production, something that is essential for the scalp as well as hair health, supports the absorption of nutrients, and is even capable of strengthening the immune system and accelerating the wound healing process.

Fino Hair Mask: How To Use?

Fino hair mask reviews reddit

Applying the mask does not involve any complicated process. The product label has step-by-step instructions on how to do it, and how often should you do it, for the best results. As per the directions, you are supposed to apply a Fino premium touch penetration essence hair mask after shampooing and conditioning. You can even skip the conditioning step and go directly to masking after rinsing off the shampoo.

First, brush your hair well, and then use a wide-tooth comb to get rid of the tangles. Take a good quantity of the mask in your palms and apply it directly on your hair strands. Unlike conditioner, you can also apply it to your scalp. After that, coat the whole length by thoroughly massaging it into your hair. As the last step, you can cover your hair with a shower cap or saran wrap (cling film) and let it sit for five minutes.

You can wash it off after this duration and wait for your hair to dry. As I mentioned before, you don’t need to apply the mask every day of the week or even every time you wash your hair. It only needs to be applied once or twice a week and that is enough for it to work its magic.

Fino Hair Mask Benefits

Aren’t you a little curious to know what exactly this hair mask offers and what makes it stand out from the rest? I know you are. So, I’ll make a list of everything I have found and experienced and you can decide if it is as good as they say.

  • Strengthens hair strands: All seven ingredients that constitute this formula nourish the hair strands in different ways. The formula reduces hair breakage as well as hair fall by locking in the moisture to keep the hair hydrated and by repairing and rebonding the damaged strands.
  • Adds shine and softness: Some of these ingredients are capable of restoring the hydrophobic properties of our hair. This changes the hair texture, reduces frizz and flyaways, and adds bounce.
  • Supports hair growth: Supporting hair growth is not limited to helping the existing hair strands grow, but also aiding in new hair growth by absorbing essential nutrients needed for the process.
  • Improves scalp health: This is not something every other hair mask offers or provides. Fino hair mask has ingredients like Glutamine and Royal jelly that keep the scalp hydrated, and even ones like Squalene and Dimethicone that treat scalp conditions like psoriasis.

Fino Hair Mask Review: Before And After

Fino hair mask reviews curly hair

This Fino hair mask review is based on my own experience with the product and so I think it is important to talk about the ‘before condition’ of my hair as well as the changes I experienced after using it.

It’s not like I always had dry, frizzy hair. I had the most beautiful, luscious hair during my teenage years, which I started losing when I stopped taking care of it like I used to do. That’s when I went on searching for a nourishing mask– when I started experiencing severe hair fall and breakage and when my hair turned dull and lifeless.

I hadn’t seen a single Shiseido Fino hair mask review until I saw that TikTok video and wasn’t even aware of the existence of such a product. Naturally, I was a bit skeptical about giving it a try, but what can you say, I am sometimes someone who is easily influenced by influencers. Don’t take me wrong, I am grateful.

The mask completely transformed the fate of my hair, which I was about to chop off after getting tired of trying to tame it and failing every time.  The formula is powerful enough to change the texture of your hair, making it smoother, shinier, and healthier looking. The changes were visible from the very first use; it reduced frizz and smoothened my hair texture, and I felt confident after a long time. From there, it kept getting better. Now my hair strands have regained much of their strength, and shine, and feel alive again.  Not a hundred percent, but surely worth the use.

Are There Any Side Effects For The Fino Hair Mask?

As far as my research goes, I couldn’t find anything involved in this formula that could cause any negative side effects to our health. More importantly, I have been using the mask for quite some time now, and haven’t noticed anything wrong with it.

If you take a look at Fino hair mask reviews too, you will see that the majority will agree with me. There were however a few that reported feeling some kind of discomfort in their scalp, but we don’t know the exact reason behind this. Perhaps they were allergic to one of the ingredients, or maybe the mask reacted to something they had already applied on the scalp.

Either way, you need to be careful before using not just this mask, but anything that comes in direct contact with your skin, and consult with a physician if it feels necessary.

Fino Hair Mask Customer Reviews

Shiseido fino hair mask reviews

Fino hair mask reviews are mostly positive. When I say mostly, I mean more than 90% of them. They are impressed by the price, consistency, quantity, and packaging of the mask, and find the fragrance appealing. More importantly, they are surprised by the results and are happy that they were wrong about any misgivings they had concerning the product meeting their expectations.

For some people, it didn’t seem to do much. They claim in their Fino hair mask reviews that they noticed little difference and that the hair remains frizzy. It also didn’t make much of a difference for those who already had healthy, shiny hair. But for the majority, this was ‘the one’ they had left out to add to their hair care routine. It has helped with chemically treated and colored hair damage, has reduced hair fall, and helped hair growth.

Some Fino hair mask reviews claim that the results were immediate and they could notice the shine even before the hair was completely dry. I, for one, never paid attention to this, but I sure plan to do that on my next hair-wash day.

Now let’s get into a more interesting section that is exclusive to my readers.

Tips For Achieving The Best Results With Fino Hair Mask

The proper way to get the best results from any product is to religiously follow the instructions and directions given by the manufacturer. But there are certain things we learn from experience that could be used to make these steps a little better and enhance the results. Here I give you the tips and tricks that I figured out while on my hair care journey.

  • Hair condition: The mask is specifically meant for dry, damaged hair. So if yours doesn’t come under this category, there might be a better hair mask out there for you.
  • Wide-tooth comb: During the combing step before applying the mask, make sure to use a wide-tooth comb to untangle your hair to reduce breakage.
  • Saran wrap: Preferably use saran wrap over a shower cap since that traps the heat better, keeps it warmer, and helps the mask penetrate deeper into your hair strands.
  • Consistency: Consistency is one of the most important factors that decide the outcome no matter what kind of product you are using. So be consistent in your use for some time before you come to a conclusion regarding its performance.

Conclusion

Now that we have gone through everything including the ingredient list, benefits, and potential side effects, it is time for the verdict.

For me, the mask has worked faster and better compared to several other hair masks in the market and is even competent in terms of price. It does make good on its promise to reduce breakage, tame frizz, control flyaway, and restore smoothness to the hair. It also takes care of scalp health, reduces hair fall, and even promotes new hair growth to an extent. The mask doesn’t seem to have any side effects and works better when you follow the tips I mentioned earlier in the review. Even though most of us, including me, got to know about this product unexpectedly, we are all thankful that we did.

To me, it seems like everything one would expect from an ideal hair mask. Maybe even a little more? I’ll leave that to you to decide. If you have used the Fino hair mask, let me know if it met, surpassed, or failed to reach your expectations.
